Director at the SCARF a Premiere Mental Health NGO in chennai for over 30 years, she has completed her post graduate Psychiatry degree at the University of Bombay, since then has been involved in several research areas. Area of interest are stigma in mental illness and in physical comorbidities in schizophrenia, deeply committed to the physical health care of persons with serious mental illness. With keen interest in empowering young persons on mental health issues and commitment to focus on quality life of this population, she has delivered many talks in schools and colleges.
She speaks English, Tamil, Hindi, Marathi.
